The Land:
Estate vineyards in Clarksburg, California. Cold mornings give way to warm, breezy afternoons. Temperatures tend to be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the Lodi Appellation due to the famous Delta Breezes, conditions which are ideal for the development of wines which require a nice acid and pH balance.
Winemaking:
Grapes are fermented 12 days at 85F. Wine undergoes extended maceration on skins up to 21 days to maximize varietal expression.
Minimal aging with French & American oak.
